Network Operation Center Manager

Description:
The NOC manager is an IT Engineer (Information Technology Engineer) responsible for the operation, implementation, support and maintenance of all the activities related to a Network Operation Center that provides mainly VoIP services securing the service capacity, quality, reliability and security. The NOC manager will also be responsible for the installation of equipment in the local and remote locations. The NOC manager will be also responsible for the Intranet and Corporate IT system.
The NOC manager shall contribute to the development and/or implementation of services, networks and application to support Residential VoIP Services and the company IT requirements.
Most of the system is developed using LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL and PHP) and Internet Networks including SS7/PSTN (Signaling System Nr. 7) / (Public Switched Telephone Network).
Education:
- BS in Engineering or Computer Science.
- CCNA, CCNP certifications or similar is a plus
Tasks:
- Operate and maintain a Telecommunication System and a Corporate Intranet.
- Install, implement and support systems to provide residential VoIP and achieve capacity, security, reliability and management of the services.
- Contribute in developing application architecture, database designs, web interfaces and installations of the system.
- Design and configure IP based networks.
- Plan and manage local and remote installations projects
Requirements:
- Five years of experience in the IT and Telecommunications industry preferable in VoIP implementations
- Proficient in LAMP, Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP, .NET, Web Development.
- Working knowledge with Microsoft Servers and Computers
- Working knowledge in Networking, switching, routing, firewalls, VLANs, VPNs, etc.
- Knowledge of Telecommunications, VOIP, SIP, PSTN, SS7.
- Project management skills on IT projects.
- Proficiency in MS Office and MS Project, etc.
- Open to learn other computers and networking skills as needed.
- NOC (Network Operation Center) working experience.
