What is the DUO?

The DUO is netTALK's 2nd generation VoIP device. It has replaced our flagship product, the TK6000.

What is the TK6000?

The TK6000 is netTALK's 1st generation VoIP device. It was sold during our first year of business. The TK6000 will continue to work with our existing phone service. If you were fortunate enough to purchase one, then take good care of it because it features our exclusive LIFETIME callplan which lasts for the life of the device. The TK6000 is no longer being sold. The DUO has replaced the TK6000.

Do I need to leave my computer on to use the netTALK DUO?

No, the beauty of netTALK's DUO patent pending technology is that it is designed to work with or without a computer. If the DUO is connected directly to a router, this saves you from having to leave your computer turned on to make and receive calls. If you are on the go, or don't have access to a router, then you can utilize a computer's internet connection via a USB port. Best of both worlds!

Does netTALK sell customer data to marketing companies?

Absolutely not! We don't load spyware onto your computer and your data will never be sold to 3rd party marketing firms.

How does the DUO work?

Make sure you have a high-speed Internet connection (cable, DSL or fiber-optic) and a traditional home phone.

Do I need to use a clumsy headset?

The DUO works with your existing traditional home phone. Just plug it in, and enjoy high quality voice.

Can I call anywhere in the US and Canada for free?

The DUO allows you to make local and long-distance calls within the US and Canada for free.

Can I call Internationally?

Yes, we have competitive international rates. Just buy prepaid credits from your customer account manager and you are ready to go.

Do I need to call another DUO for the call to be free?

No. The DUO lets you call anywhere in the US and Canada for free. Calls from one DUO to another DUO, no matter where in the world, are always free.

How do I get a phone number?

After you receive your DUO, you will need to activate your device by going to http://login.nettalk.com. Follow the steps to register and select a phone number.

Is there a charge for directory assistance (411)?

No, 411 directory assistance is completely free!

Do you support 911 calls?

Yes, the DUO provides E911 service where supported. You must enter and keep your address updated in the Online Customer Account Manager.

Will I have a hard time setting up the DUO?

The DUO is pure plug-n-play! Most customers are making calls in less than a few minutes. Just plug in your existing home phones and connect to your high speed internet connection and you are ready to go.

How much does the DUO cost?

The DUO provides free local and long distance for $49.95 throughout the US and Canada for the entire first year of service, including a 30 day money back guarantee.

Does the DUO support faxing?

Yes, you can use a fax machine. If you are keeping a land line just for your fax, get rid of it! Keep in mind, you must have fax machine that supports VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol)

Is the DUO a portable device that can travel with you anywhere in the world?

Yes, the DUO is a pocket sized device and can be used anywhere there is a high-speed Internet connection. Calls to other netTALK customers are always free. Calls from anywhere in the world to US or Canadian numbers are always free as well. International credits can be bought on a prepaid basis.

Can I use a computer if I want to?

Of course you can! Download the latest USB driver at www.nettalk.com/downloads and connect the DUO to the USB port on your computer with the supplied USB cable and you're ready to go.

Can I choose a Canadian phone number if I purchase my DUO from netTALK.com or from a U.S. retailer?
